As we move into the spring period, we’re seeing an unprecedented level of capital raisings, both in the market in general and specific to Computershare clients. While a capital raising has obvious work required from our Corporate Action and Registry teams, there’s almost as much detailed transactional work to be undertaken by our Share Plans teams – they’re currently working on eight Rights Issues which affect our plan provision, for instance.
Along with the continuing market turmoil, we’re also seeing some positive change in regulation – HMRC have responded to a collective request to reflect base rate interest changes more speedily and accurately in relation to SAYE rates. We should all be expecting more regulatory and legislatory change, and it will be interesting to see what emerges following the G20 meeting in London.
And in addition to this online HTML version, we've also introduced a print-ready version of Insight which you can download in PDF format by clicking here - perfect for getting updated during a long train journey.
I hope you enjoy the read.
