In response to advisor demand, Computershare has launched a new subsidiary in the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man is a much-used location for foreign companies looking to list in London, and as such a key market for our offshore activities. We are delighted to have obtained a licence from the Financial Services Commission in the Isle of Man to conduct our share register services locally.
The Isle of Man is our latest venture in an 18 month programme of offshore incorporations, with previously established offices in the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. Our subsidiary in the Isle of Man will support various registration products, including IPOs and other related services, bringing extra revenue to the island.
Nick Oldfield, Chief Financial Officer for Computershare said, “We're delighted to have established ourselves in the Isle of Man, and are already working with several companies who want to use this location for upcoming listings on the LSE and PLUS”.
To mark the occasion of the launch, Computershare held a drinks reception in March at the Sefton Hotel, Douglas, providing clients with the opportunity to meet the Computershare Trustees and the Computershare Investor Services (Jersey) teams.
